Acquiring lingerie for ladies can be the most amorous things you could accomplish – and at the same time the most hectic and dangerous donation to get for a present. Check this sexy cut out swimsuits from designers such as Sunflair, Gok Wan, Gottex, Seafolly, Moontide and Miracle Suit.
Consider it’s not for you, but it’s your woman’s. Forget leather, PVC, or any extra sexy outfit, go for something smooth or lacey and are OK.
Don’t attempt to presume your woman’s size numbers, favourite variety Regrettably, ladies don’t have S, medium, large, and XL sizes like men. Do your enquiries in the beginning. Hang around in anticipation of she walk off and then search her underwear drawer.
Attempt to discover things with the label in it and take notes of the colours and designs she loves. Take into account that trimmings like lace and tassels can be sophisticated and sexy if you be knowledgeable about what your woman prefers. I found out that my wife likes Lingerie underwear. I didn’t know bikini were just for the sand.
Lingerie sets instead are effectively any skin-tight skimpy, or transparent undergarment that supplies less coverage to the midsection than customary underwear, panties or knickers. As a matter of fact Bikini two-pieces mimes what you perceive on the coastline.
The bikini has become a US$811 million trade annually and it’s maybe the as a rule popular lady beachwear all-round the globe as a result of the mishmash of the women’s power and fashion.
it’s a Roman invention. Two-piece garments worn by gils for activity purposes are on Greek vases and paintings dating back to 1400 BC.
An old picture identified “Bikini Girls” dating back to the Diocletian period (286-305 AD) in Sicily illustrates ten women in mosaics on the floor.
Near Naples there are also some representations of the Roman idol Venere dressed in a swimsuit.
The current bikini started to materialize yet again in 1907, when Australian sport woman,a sport woman, Annette Kellerman was detained on a Boston shore for wearing “sexy” beachwear which happen to be expected swimsuit for women by early 1900.
The contemporary beachwear was created by French engineer Louis Réard in 1946 and was a shock when it appeared on French beaches in 1947. He called it after Bikini Atoll in the Pacific ocean, the location of the Operation Crossroads atomic outburst experiment on the beginning of July in 1946. His connection was that the explosion of thrill created by it would be like a nuclear blast.
As regards of purchasing Lingerie as gift remember that most structures will professionally gift wrap your purchase for you if you require for a small payment and it is well worth paying a bit on top for. And also I advise to keep the receipt – you never know.
When it comes to making a difference, many people think they have to do a lot to make a difference. My experience tells me that that isn’t true. A little can mean a lot and make a big difference even if it is just in the life of one person. It is like my favorite story about the little boy throwing starfish back into the ocean. He couldn’t save all the starfish on the beach but, as he threw one in, he knew he had made a difference to that one.
I have a friend who is experiencing a health challenge. There isn’t a lot I can do to help her, but there is a little something I can do. When I make dinners at night, I create a dinner for my friend, put it in the freezer and once every couple of weeks I go by and give her the meals. It isn’t a big deal, I am cooking dinner anyway, and saving out one portion is easy. I know from experience that this makes a difference. When my mom was sick it meant a lot to her that her friends stopped by with dinners and snacks for her. One friend stopped occasionally with ice cream, fresh baked pretzels and other snacks my mom loved. It made a big difference to my mom, and even to the rest of her family, because we felt better knowing my mom had things that were mostly nutritious to eat. The smallest efforts can make the biggest difference in ways that you might not even imagine.
Another friend of mind was looking for a way to make a difference in the life of an orphaned child. She didn’t want to adopt a child. Her hands were already full with six of her own. So what she did was sponsor a child through an organization. For a small sum of money each month, she was able to provide food and an education for a child. On special occasions she would send her “sponsored son” (as she called him) gifts and letters. The child is now in his thirties and keeps in touch with my friend. He often thanks her for helping him. What my friend did was a small thing, but it made a big difference in the life of at least that one child.
It might be impossible to help everyone in the world, but you can help one person. Helping that one person will make a big difference and create a ripple effect that will go way beyond anything you can imagine. It might not seem like a big deal but to the person you help, it might be life changing. So don’t hold back because you can’t do a lot and you don’t think a little will make a difference. It will make a difference to that person.

Don’t get me wrong. I certainly don’t think the majority of vendors who use a fixed-price model are trying to rip you off. In fact, when I started my business that’s the way we workedwhich is why we have such great insight into the flaws in the system. But there needs to be a transparency to the work. You need to know exactly what you’re getting, how long it takes, and how much it costs. You need to know that you’re only paying for time actually spent on your account. And you need to know that no risk will ever be taken with your system just to maintain your contractor’s profitability. The inherent structure of fixed pricing makes this kind of transparency an impossibility. Here’s why:
Fixed pricing is designed to function with the absolute minimum amount of human attention. The more the company does not work for the client, the higher the profit. This creates an adversarial system where the caretakers fight to do as little work as possible no matter how much they are being paid.
Fixed pricing encourages wastage. Since a fixed price contractor has an hourly rate in mind – say $120/hr – then when they quote $12,000 per month, that really means that they intend to spend no more than 100 hours per month on your account. But if near the end of the month they have only done 20 hours, for example, then what happens to the other 80 hours? Nothing. You would have received inferior services for an astronomical hourly rate and have no recourse to approach the contractor and ask that they put in a little TLC.
Fixed pricing encourages increased risk. This one has a little math behind it: If a problem can be corrected in 1 hour but has a 10% chance of reoccurring in 2 months, or can be corrected in 5 hours and will never happen again, the fixed price contractor will always pick the 1 hour solution. Why? Imagine that they have 10 different clients with the same problem. They can spend 50 hours fixing it the right way for everyone, or spend 10 hours fixing them all the wrong way knowing that only 1 in the 10 (10%) will have a problem in 2 months (incurring another 1 hour then). Therefore, the total time saved by doing it the wrong way is 39 hours. A huge savings to the contractor.
Now imagine if that problem has downtime or data loss associated to it. This will never factor into their profitability equation.
Fixed pricing can be deceptive as far as measure of quality. Take database administration, for example, since that’s what I know best. The measure of the DBA job in a fixed price model is to ensure that the database is up. Performance improvement or dealing with performance decline is not even in the contract. Also missing is any diagnosis of complex performance or network issues which may involve more than one piece of the architecture puzzle.
As soon as the fixed price DBA determines that “it is not the DB”, the client is on their own trying to correct an issue where a DBA could be invaluable in diagnosis and building a plan for corrective action.
Fixed pricing estimates are high. They are high on a per hour basis and on an hours spent basis. This is because fixed-price contractors have to back their estimate for a year. You are paying for the risk that they have estimated another account improperly and need to make it up on yours. You are also paying for the risk that you may develop chronic problemsand so they charge for that in advance whether it happens or not.
Once the year is out, the best case scenario is that you have managed to be a “problem account” for them and have actually received some bang for your buck. Now that they know what kind of hours it takes to manage your account, you will receive a new estimate that will be calculated as follows: (yearly hours)*(markup for risk)*(200/hr)/12=(monthly rate). You will most likely not be told this formula but I guarantee that it exists. You can never beat it. You will always pay premium rates, even if you make it through the first year fighting for attention.
Fixed pricing never goes down, and it usually goes substantially up after the first year. Whatever the price is, the fixed price contractor always has an hourly rate in mind, like $200/hour. Ask. If you have already hired a fixed rate contractor, ask for a monthly report of how many hours they spend on you. Ask. You will most likely be denied since the hourly rate can be astronomical if they have successfully avoided doing work, but definitely ask.
And what happens if your technical needs are much greater than anticipated? At the end of the year, your fixed rate will be increased based on your hourly usage in the previous year so that you are back at their target profitability level (which they will still not share with you). Since you can never know how many hours they are really spending, you will never know what you are buying.
No matter how good it might seem at the outset, fixed pricing never adds up. You can never truly get the best dealand you may be putting valuable data at risk. Because with a fixed-price model, if it ain’t broke, they won’t fix it.

Before founding Pythian, Steve worked as a consultant for numerous companies as well as the Canadian government. He remains the key architect of Pythian’s highly sophisticated internal applications and business process systems.
Imagine this nightmare scenario…
You check your e-mail program and it reports your username
and password as no longer valid. You call your Internet
service provider (ISP) to discuss the problem and they tell
you they turned off your account due to “abuse”. “Abuse!”
you cry to the customer service operator, “What are you
talking about?”
“Someone used your computer this past Saturday night in an
attempt to hack into a government computer system. They
made the attempt at 1:20 a.m. from your account,” replies
the rep. “Look in your windows registry for a file called
QAZWSX.hsq.”
You punch a few keys and sure enough the file stares right
back at you. “What is it?” you ask, scared to know the
answer.
“Someone used a Trojan Horse virus to remotely control your
computer and cloak the identity of the hacker. Here’s how
to get rid of it, just…”
What you just read happened very recently to someone I know
quite well. A computer hacker found an open port on his
computer when he switched over from a dial-up Internet
connection to an “always-on” high-speed connection.
The hacker used a robot scanning the Internet for available
“ports”, openings in a computer that allow data to pass
back and forth from a network connection like the Internet.
Once the hacker found an unprotected port on my friend’s
computer he simply inserted a Trojan Horse virus that rides
along with Windows Notepad, a handy utility used by just
about everyone who makes web pages.
When my friend activated the notepad program he also
activated the virus. The virus in turn transmitted all of
my friend’s security information to the hacker and allowed
him to gain access and control his victim’s computer in the
middle of the night.
Count me as the last person to sound paranoid, but, as
always-on connections through DSL, cable, and T-1 lines
proliferate, this story will repeat itself over and over
until people learn to protect themselves.
Most people underestimate or are completely ignorant about
the importance of information they send over the Internet
when surfing websites and checking email. Even if you only
use a simple dial-up account, you can unknowingly transmit
a significant amount of sensitive information.
You can analyze the security of your web connection for
free by going to http://www.symantec.com/SecurityCheck/ .
You can also verify the presence of any known viruses or
Trojan horses on your computer. The information I saw when
analyzing my personal computer frankly shocked me. I saw
data I didn’t even know existed staring me right in the
face after I performed this analysis.
To protect your computer hardware and sensitive data you
should obtain a software package called a “firewall”. A
firewall, when combined with a good anti-virus program,
helps stop unauthorized access on your computer, prevents
virus infection, and “cloaks” your data ports against a
hacker scanning for openings.
Symantec.com and McAfee.com both offer excellent personal
firewall and anti-virus software from their websites or you
can buy them off the shelf at your local office supply
store. A wise investment for anyone on the net… before
it’s too late!

Perhaps the most popular satellite provider in the United States, DIRECTV® has a long and impressive history under its belt. So, just who is DIRECTV? And how did they get to where they are today?
DIRECTV – The Early Years
Satellite as we know it today actually started back in 1984, when Hughes Electronics gained FCC approval to build and operate a direct broadcast satellite system, or DBS. The satellite DIRECTV-1 was launched on December 17, 1993 and in 1994, Hughes Electronics founded DIRECTV and premiered the first North American offering of DBS service. Often called the “minidish”, this new satellite dish was considerably smaller than what consumers were used to – approximately 18 inches in diameter – and much more manageable than those large, cumbersome TVRO satellite dishes from our past.
Along with its sleek and compact look, the minidish brought consumers a new way of receiving satellite television transmissions. Older TVRO dish systems were analog only and based on open standards equipment. Minidish systems on the other hand, were digital, offering clearer video and audio, and were operated on a closed system that required special reception equipment. TVRO systems were also mobile, a necessary feature to allow them to pick up transmissions from multiple satellite systems, while minidish systems are stationary and received all of their programming from one specific satellite. In August of 1994, DIRECTV launched its second satellite, DIRECTV-2 and boasted one million subscribers at the end of the year.
DIRECTV – Full Steam Ahead
In 1995, DIRECTV authorized Toshiba and Uniden to begin manufacturing DBS systems. Committing to $170 million in advertising, DIRECTV prepared for the expected subscriber growth and launched their third satellite, DIRECTV-3 in July.
In 1997, DIRECTV launched DIRECTV-6 and in 1998, with over 4 million subscribers, DIRECTV Satellite entered into an agreement to purchase its partner, US Satellite Broadcasting for over $1.3 billion in stocks and cash. The merger provided DIRECTV customers with access to USSB’s premier movie broadcasting, increasing channel selection from 185 to 210. In July, DIRECTV invested $250 million in XM satellite radio.
1999 brought even more growth when DIRECTV acquired Primestar, Inc. and their 2.3 million subscribers. As part of the transaction, DIRECTV inherited Primestar’s satellite assets – specifically, 11 transponders and two satellites – giving them high-powered DBS frequencies to provide full coverage of the continental United States. In addition to the Primestar acquisition, DIRECTV launched a new satellite of their own, DIRECTV-1R on October 10th.
By 2001, DIRECTV Satellite had gained over 10 million subscribers and in October, announced it’s intention to merge with it’s prime competitor, EchoStar Communications, the parent company of DISH Network. In November, DIRECTV joined with Music Choice and Wink Communications to announce a new interactive music commerce service that would allow consumers to purchase a CD of the song they were listening to directly through their remote control. This 24/7 feature was launched in September of 2002.
The merger with EchoStar’s DISH Network fell through in 2003 and later that same year, General Motors sold their controlling interest of Hughes Electronics to News Corporation. 2003 also saw the introduction of a new high-definition video recorder from DIRECTV and TiVo as well as a second-generation model through a partnership with Philips. This was also the second year in a row that DIRECTV was named #1 in customer service by JD Powers & Associates.
On November 11, 2003, DIRECTV enjoyed its 12 millionth customer milestone.
DIRECTV – Today
Today, DIRECTV offers service to more than 14 million subscribers in the continental US as well as the one million plus subscribers in Latin America. It remains the top ranking consumer satellite provider and continues to expand its offerings through high-definition and special interest packages such as NFL SUNDAY TICKET and TOTAL CHOICE® Mobile programming.
What does the future hold for DIRECTV?
With four new satellites expected by the end of 2007 and exclusive DVR sneak previews of high-ranking premium broadcasting, DIRECTV continues to push the envelope and expand the definition of satellite television entertainment. What will be next for DIRECTV?
If history offers any clue, it’s sure to be big!
This month is host to a mixed selection of events; the most fashionable of the 2 are at totally various ends of the spectrum, London’s 2009 Fashion Week and The Brit Awards 2009
Both of these events are vastly distinguished and have grown to be somewhat of ritual and consistently once a year occurrence.
The Capitals Fashion Week takes place in New York, Milan and Paris, the most cool & loved capital cities in the entire world. The first initial Fashion Week took place in NYC, in 1943 and was merely proposed to draw attention away from France fashion style during WW II when fashion style professionals were unable to go to France to watch the Paris Fashion shows. The long awaited excellent Fashion Week takes place in Feb, it can be merely an opening for gifted designers both big names like Betsey Johnson and also new up & coming designers to exhibit their own most recent collections assortments on the catwalk. This now gives fashion & store buyers an opportunity to take notice of what’s positively to be in style this coming season. Fashion Week begins with New York City Fashion Week followed quickly by the cities Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and then at long last France Fashion Week.
The British Phonographic Industry also more well known as The Brit Awards are the once a year pop music awards. The awards began in 1977 & took place in the Royal Albert Hall. The awards ceremony initially televised on BBC 1 it is now aired on ITV 3. They are observed by millions & hundreds of music lovers every year & are shown live each year. 2009’s Brit Awards are also as always promised to be extraordinary & with brilliant performers such as Kings of Leon, Duffy and Girls Aloud performing live your sure to be in for a fantastic night, it wont stop there though. This years Brit Awards Hosts are the very funny BBC 1’s Gavin & Stacey’s, James Corden and Mathew Horne and the amazing Kylie Minogue so you are certain to be in for a laugh too.
Earlier this year, following an intention to live more consciously, I deemed it the Year of Awakening. For me, I envision a lifetime of conscious living as I more fully awaken to the spiritual being that I truly am. As a part of my spiritual journey, I love to look up the meanings of things to gain an even deeper understanding. This is what Webster’s Dictionary had to say about the word conscious: in the “moment”, in waking awareness, mentally perceptive, alert, subjectively knowing, intentional, deliberate, inwardly attentive, mindful, possessing knowledge, cognizant, knowing one’s self, realizing and recognizing.
Wow, now that is a powerful definition! Who wouldn’t want to be conscious? Along with conscious living comes responsibility to act on our values and insights. We may experience emotional pain as we allow ourselves to feel what we’ve been stuffing down for years, but for the most part, living consciously is joyful, as we see the good in one another and trust the presence of a loving God unfolding in our lives perfectly.
In order to change old patterns and create greater consciousness in our lives it is important to make a daily practice that allows for a shift in awareness and then the creation of new, improved patterns and habits can emerge. For those who know me, I am a ‘busy’ woman, yet I am learning to enjoy some downtime. I see how it is leading me to greater awareness in my life.
A part of my daily practice is to spend time in the stillness, in the quiet of my own mind. I spend time in the silence when I meditate, which I also call “basking”. It is there that I learn to have space between my thoughts. I listen to that inner voice and wherever it takes me is where I am willing go. I find the more I listen to the spiritual guidance that I receive, the smoother my life flows!
While spending time in the silence, I release my prayers and go over in my mind all that I am grateful for. My heart is filled with appreciation as I review in my mind the many ways that I am blessed. If there is any resentment or forgiveness work to do, I take care of this too, while my inner being is quiet and focused on the goodness of God.
For me, an aspect of conscious living is getting in touch with what brings me joy. When I follow the beat of my own inner drummer, so to speak, I know that I am on the path to conscious living, and not just doing what everyone else thinks I should do! Mythologist Joseph Campbell says, “If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living…. If you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.” Experiencing bliss is being attentive to the underlying beauty and meaning found in life, no matter what the circumstances.
Another way I live consciously is through my use of intention. I’ve been using the power of intention ever since I learned about the teachings of Abraham-Hicks found at www.Abraham-Hicks.com over eight years ago. I see working with intention as being a sort of traffic cop for energy, directing it, and using my focused awareness to bring about positive change in my life and in the world around me.
My use of intention has brought the right people into my life at just the right time; helped me move into seeing all my work as spiritual, allowed me to develop divine relationships; and helped me to gain a greater sense of well-being. I feel empowered in my life seeing where my intentions have led me!
I can really see the difference in my life just since January when I set the intention to live more consciously! There is so much beauty and love to see when I slow down enough to be mindful. One intention that has manifested for me is the opportunity to study with spiritual gurus! I’ve been attending international pyschic Kelly Powers’ classes on mindfulness and the use of intuition (I highly recommend his work, you can visit his site at www.KellyPowers.com).
Through spending time in the silence, following my bliss and using positive intention, I am able to connect with life like I’ve never done before. I look forward to the rest of my life unfolding in a way that helps me to continue to grow and serve in love and do it consciously!

To earn your CCNP certification and pass the BCMSN exam, you’ve got to know what HSRP does and the many configurable options. While the operation of HSRP is quite simple (and covered in a previous tutorial), you also need to know how HSRP arrives at the MAC address for the virtual router – as well as how to configure a new MAC for this virtual router. This puts us in the unusual position of creating a physical address for a router that doesn’t exist!
The output of show standby for a two-router HSRP configuration is shown below.
R2#show standby
Ethernet0 – Group 5
Local state is Standby, priority 100
Hellotime 3 sec, holdtime 10 sec
Next hello sent in 0.776
Virtual IP address is 172.12.23.10 configured
Active router is 172.12.23.3, priority 100 expires in 9.568
Standby router is local
1 state changes, last state change 00:00:22
R3#show standby
Ethernet0 – Group 5
Local state is Active, priority 100
Hellotime 3 sec, holdtime 10 sec
Next hello sent in 2.592
Virtual IP address is 172.12.23.10 configured
Active router is local
Standby router is 172.12.23.2 expires in 8.020
Virtual mac address is 0000.0c07.ac05
2 state changes, last state change 00:02:08
R3 is in Active state, while R2 is in Standby. The hosts are using the 172.12.123.10 address as their gateway, but R3 is actually handling the workload. R2 will take over if R3 becomes unavailable.
An IP address was assigned to the virtual router during the HSRP configuration process, but not a MAC address. However, there is a MAC address under the show standby output on R3, the active router. How did the HSRP process arrive at a MAC of 00-00-0c-07-ac-05?
Well, most of the work is already done before the configuration is even begun. The MAC address 00-00-0c-07-ac-xx is reserved for HSRP, and xx is the group number in hexadecimal. That’s a good skill to have for the exam, so make sure you’re comfortable with hex conversions. The group number is 5, which is expressed as 05 with a two-bit hex character. If the group number had been 17, we’d see 11 at the end of the MAC address – one unit of 16, one unit of 1.
The output of the show standby command also tells us that the HSRP speakers are sending Hellos every 3 seconds, with a 10-second holdtime. These values can be changed with the standby command, but HSRP speakers in the same group should have the same timers. You can even tie down the hello time to the millisecond, but it’s doubtful you’ll ever need to do that.
R3(config-if)#standby 5 timers ?
<1-254> Hello interval in seconds
msec Specify hello interval in milliseconds
R3(config-if)#standby 5 timers 4 ?
<5-255> Hold time in seconds
R3(config-if)#standby 5 timers 4 12
Another important HSRP skill is knowing how to change the Active router assignment. I’ll show you how to do that, and how to configure HSRP interface tracking, in the next part of my CCNP / BCMSN exam tutorial!

Alot of unfortunate people who had hip replacement recall applied in their hip cup replacement surgical operations are encountering that there are difficulties that far surpass the normal expectations for recovery. These people are feeling a lot of unneeded pain sensation for longer periods of time, looking forward to revision operations and increased medical costs, and losing revenue by being taken out of the workplace at their normal jobs. Although Zimmer Holdings, Inc. is laying claim that that their hip replacement implant is not conceivably flawed and have basically denied blame for the faulty surgical procedures, several unfortunate people are filing lawsuits against them and obtaining settlements.
Sometime during October, 2008 Zimmer declared that it had set-aside $47.5 million to compensate for claims they had received. Many docs arent so sure that the hip device is is not the issue like the company has stated. In Point Of Fact, when Zimmer offered online coaching to physicians in order to instruct them what was supposedly more precise methods for performing the implant surgical procedure, half of the physicians declined to take part. Therefore, the whole situation remains to be bothersome for all patients attached, but none more than the hundreds of poor people who are required to undergo revision surgical operation because of the problems with their implant not staying secure in the socket.
These suffering poor people definitely deserve some help and restitution which is why product liability attorneys are supporting them by telling them to file lawsuits. zimmer durom cup hip implant has been paying some of these claims, too. Even So, even if the payoff they are being offered by all standards seems reasonable, in most cases poor people are deciding too fast and with no allowance put in place for on-going troubles in the future. Without waiting to find out what cases are actually going to be worth, individuals could find themselves ending up paying alot more money from their own pocket when further complications arise.
If your orthopedic Dr. informs you that you will need to undergo a revision surgery to resolve your Zimmer Durom hip replacement device, contact an attorney immediately.
Once your lawyer comes to the conclusion that you have a possible case, be prepared to spend some time waiting it out for the best possible settlement that your lawyer will be able to negotiate for you. Pay close attention to the wisdom and advice that your attorney gives to you and do not get impatient and demand a quick timeframe for restitution. Being patient at this stage of the case can pay off vs. just rushing the process.
To start making dramatic changes in your life, transform
the way you use questions that begin with “why.” IBM
Founder Thomas Watson, Sr. is quoted as saying “the
ability to ask the right question is more than half the
battle of finding the answer.” “Why” questions are uniquely
powerful in that they already contain an answer themselves.
Implicit in every “why” question is a statement of fact.
For example, consider the question “why is the sky blue?”
You agree the sky is blue. You’re merely seeking the
explanation of what makes it so. As much as you try, you’ll
never change the color of the sky. Hidden in each “why”
question is an affirmative statement.
If not used effectively, “why” questions keep you stuck. I
used to have trouble getting out of bed in the morning.
I’d ask myself “why do I stay in bed when it’s time to get
up?” Each time I asked, I always returned to the *fact*
that I didn’t get out of bed when it was time. My “why”
question affirmed that I stayed in bed when it was time to
get up, and it kept me stuck in that pattern.
Begin looking at the “why” questions you ask yourself.
If you’re chronically late for appointments, maybe you
ask: “why am I always late?”
If you experience financial lack, maybe you ask:
“why am I always broke?”
If you seem to lack enough time, perhaps you ask:
“why is there never enough time in my day?”
If you don’t feel so confident, maybe you ask:
“why am I such a loser?”
Wherever you experience undesired results, look at the
“why” questions you may be asking yourself in that area.
Transform your “why” questions into “how can I” questions.
Instead of asking “why am I always late?”
Try “how can I be on time for all my appointments?”
Instead of asking “why am I always broke?”
Try “how can I earn/save/have more money?”
Instead of asking “why do I oversleep?”
Try “how can I get out of bed on time each day?”
Instead of asking “why am I not getting visitors to my
website?”
Try “how can I get more visitors to my website?”
Begin using afformations. Notice I did not say
affirmations. An afformation, according to author Noah St.
John, is “an empowering question to which the human brain
must try to find an answer.” In his excellent book “Learn
How and Why to Give Yourself Permission to Succeed,” Noah
devotes several pages to afformations. Pick up a copy of
the book or visit his website at
.
Afformations are “why” questions which affirm something
you desire.
Instead of asking “why am I always late?”
Try “why am I on time for all my appointments?”
Instead of asking “why am I always broke?”
Try “why do I experience financial abundance?”
Instead of asking “why am I lonely?”
Try “why am I surrounded with friends who care for me?”
Instead of asking “why is my business unsuccessful?”
Try “why is my business vibrant, growing and prosperous?”
By asking positive “why” questions, you convince your
brain that what you desire is already so. If it exists in
your mind, it’s bound to become an outer reality.
Combine afformations with journaling. Begin keeping a
journal each day and ask yourself only positive “why”
questions. Not only will you be getting your thoughts out
on paper, but you’ll also be affirming – in your own mind -
your desired reality.
Psychologist William James states “the greatest discovery
of my generation is that human beings can alter their
lives by altering their attitudes of mind.” Transform the
way you use “why” questions, and you’ll transform your
attitude and your life.
It’s your life. Make it great!
