Naveen Jain as a Successful Indian Entrepreneur

Posted by admin

India, a land of geographical beauty, is also a land of over a billion people. The subcontinent has cradled some of the most successful, if not the most intelligent, people on the planet. There is Lakshmi Mittal, the steel magnate listed by Forbes Magazine as one of the ten richest persons on earth. Then there is fellow multi-billionaire KP Singh, who engages in real estate. One of the richest siblings in the world are Indian; brothers Anil and Mukesh Ambani are worth half a trillion a piece as a result of selling petrochemicals. At any rate, Intellius CEO Naveen Jain has gone farther than most people in India, a country with one of the greatest problems in income equality. The man was worth $8 billion the last time Forbes included him on its esteemed list. Born in India in 1959, Naveen Jain had the relative boon of having an engineer for a father and prestigious schools for education. Jain went to the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI, while his father worked in the public works department. Finally, a business exchange grant in 1982 allowed Naveen Jain to seek more opportunities in America as an immigrant. Immigration may have been the best thing to happen to him; in seven years, Microsoft Corporation hired him. At Microsoft, Naveen stepped up the corporate ladder to senior level, managing the team that launched MSN (The Microsoft Network.) He quit after seven years and moved on to found InfoSpace. InfoSpace, a $31 billion “dot-com” company, brought Naveen Jain to a head start. Almost immediately, Naveen Jain became one of the most famous entrepreneurs of the country. He was even hailed a “person who would change the net”. Then there was Intelius. Jain formed it in January 2003, a month after letting go of InfoSpace. The company sells publicly available intelligence and background information on persons. It has grown to accommodate millions of users. Naveen Jain has donated generously to India-based nonprofits like Child Rights and You and the Indian American Education Foundation.
