For one, I cannot say I’m exactly comfortable living alone and remain an honest woman. Even then, I’m not uncomfortable about it, either. I only suggest it in this blog as an ear-catching piece of info foreshadowing what I will shortly reveal to you
A week ago today I was talking to Stacey, pondering about signing up for Great Expectations Dallas. Now, I sit to you as a fully satisfied member of the singles network. For real, it’s true. It’s full of fun, attractive people! If you’ve been paying attention, perhaps you’re thinkin’, “You got some ’splainin to do, Lucy!”
Well, I looked at these Great Expectations Reviews and felt encouraged. They’re for the serious singles who think dating isn’t a game.
Quite frankly, I’d never been too big on the ridiculous nightlife ritual my friends and my family call “Dating.” I faced it all the time. Each night they nagg, “Are you two serious yet?” and “Please tell me you two are dating.”
“That’s rubbish,” I say to them, and playfully so. “Not after that last blind date you set me up on.”
“Not true,” they deadpan. “You haven’t dated in a year, you wouldn’t know!”
Thankfully, that’s my friend (she’s the best) hah! Stacey Holland. She pours common sense to my mind to put me back on course. Caring souls never fail . No countering that, and I thank her for it.
Back to the meaning of this essay. As I picked from thousands of combinations of outfits for my first date with Great Expectations, I acknowledged something deep. Over the last year, I hadn’t allowed myself any figurative great expectations for dating in the adventurous winding course of life. Being single isn’t so bad, especially when you get out there and have fun. Having great expectations works terrifically in dating.
