Lin Dan, a fierce shuttler from his native China, will be once again facing unseeded Israeli, Misha Zilberman, to defend his title as the men’s singles World Badminton Championships after Tuesday’s draw.

China’s fifth-seeded Lin is on the search for hat-tricks to defend his 2006 and 2007 badminton racket champion title from future adversaries as compatriot Bao Chunlai, the 11th seeded shuttler in Lin’s native China as the elite badminton championship games begin in Hyberabad in August 10.
In the opening round, the world will witness top seed and number 1 shuttler Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia go face to face with Dieter Domke from Germany.
Third-seeded, Peter Gade if Denmark will, in the meanwhile, go against Valeriy Atrashchenkov representing Ukraine.
Of the eight of the top-seeded women, seven have bid goodbye early into the first round.

Meanwhile, Mi Zhou, the top seed of Hongkong will be meeting whoever emerges the winner between Denmark’s Nanna Brosolat Jensen and New Zealand’s Michelle Chan Ky during the second round.

Saina Newhal, the sixth-seeded shuttler representing India will face Olga Konon from Poland head on, also in the second round. Saina Newhal was the first Indian to win the Super Series badminton title in a badminton tournament held in Jakarta the month before this.
With a stunning victory against China’s number 3 Wang Lin witnessed by many, 19-year old Newhal caught the attention of the public in the open final held in India.

China places among the top countries with many skilled players in badminton. Of five titles in the previous championship held in Kuala Lumpur a couple of years ago, they nabbed three—the men’s singles and both women’s singles and doubles. Indonesia at that time was victorious in the men’s and mixed doubles.
